The goal of the Pastoral Care and Support is to provide a diversity of opportunities for families to grow and develop in a healthy environment and for those desiring support in facing life’s hurts and hang-ups.

We want you to find the kind of help you need to the extent that you need it without putting you in a “one-size-fits-all” mold. We are here to serve your needs.

Seek Wise Counsel
When facing life’s deeper and more difficult issues, the Bible recommends that we seek the counsel of wise, experienced and God-honouring counsellors. Springwood Church of Christ meets this need by providing onsite, Christ-centered prayer counselling. Both male and female counsellors are available. Counselling is offered for Adults, Adolescents and Children.

Support groups are small groups of people interested in the support of others who are facing similar challenges. The groups are structured around the topic, led by trained facilitators, and are a great resource for building relationships while growing through life’s challenges.

Sorting out the complicated issues of marital problems and understanding the steps to reconciliation.

Recovery and care for those experiencing separation or rebuilding their lives after a divorce.

Boys Mentoring
Christian men with teens ages 11-17 in a fun-filled and meaningful relationship.

Girls Mentoring
Christian women with teens ages 11-17 in a fun-filled and meaningful relationship.

Q. What issues are addressed through counselling?
A. They include (but are not limited to): any relationship issues involving marriage, divorce, step-family, single parent, and parenting plus those issues effecting individuals such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction and codependency recovery, and abuse recovery. All of the above also have a spiritual dimension, which is addressed as a major part of the helping process.

Q. Are your services for church members only?
A. No, all of our care giving services are available to both the church community and the Brisbane community at large.
